Geez I've known alot of nuns! Some great, some less so. This is no one in particular, but I'm naming it after my 1st grade teacher Sr Gabriel. She was terrifying, the closest we came to the ruler-on-the-knuckles variety.
When I can muster up the juice to draw, I try to just keep going. Whatever whim gets thumbnails, uneven diagrams, tangents. This way when I don't have that juice (usually) I can flip through notebooks and find some little nugget to work on. Or sometimes I find something random that I don't remember drawing and I'm not sure what it's about and those are my favorites!

I’ve added new weird stuff to the site, and gave it a fresh coat of pixels. Apparently I create way more than I share!
Not too much new Ghosties stuff, but I’ve always loved this one and came across it recently so here it is. This one is entirely digital I believe.
Beast of Many Burdens
This guy was made with marker and brush pen on 80 lb 11"x14" paper.
The frame is ancient Ikea and the mat had aged to where it matched the paper too closely...nothing a thick sharpie and ruler couldn't fix!
Also I had to remove the glass to get a good photo.

While I storyboarded the majority of illustrations in Wanderer 1, very few are in color. This is an early one where I was still exploring the mood of the piece. While the planet didn't make it to the final cut, the bones from the sketch are definitely visible.

For years I made folding dummies etc. on this cutting mat at my old job. I inherited it when it was being replaced and it has served me well on my work table for the past five years. Recently I finally upgraded (hello 40"x30"!) but couldn't let this guy go softly into the landfill.

Gifties
